Start with Ally
Every Alloy workspace includes Ally, the built-in assistant. Ally is available from Chats and is designed to help each user inside the current organization.
Use Ally to ask questions, find context, start work, and understand what is happening in the workspace.
Work from one chat surface
Ally uses the same internal chat experience as other AI teammates. You can start new conversations, search history, rename or delete threads, send attachments, reply to messages, stop generation, and leave feedback.
On supported setups, Ally can also use realtime voice so you can talk through work instead of typing.
Bring company knowledge into the conversation
Ally has broad visibility into organization storage. That means Ally can help reason over shared files and workspace knowledge when you ask for help.
Other AI teammates only see folders shared with them, but Ally is treated as the built-in assistant with automatic full storage access.
Ask Ally to help move work forward
Ally can use approved tools to help with real tasks, not just answers. Ally can work with storage, search, scheduling, skills, teammate calls, and organization actions when the right runtime permissions apply.
